Intrusive thoughts?

I was diagnosed with panic disorder, a few years ago. I'm fairly well controlled, but sometimes gives bad head. Lately, when I go to bed, I can not sleep. I have horrible thoughts about bad things happening to my children so badly that I want to sleep in my bed, so I know they are safe. I think someone broke into my house and I wake up thinking that I would like to use a firearm. I get terrible images in my head bad things happen my husband and kiddos. It seems I can not sleep because I'm afraid. I read that this is part of the panic / anxiety disorder, but I've never known a situation as bad. I'm about medicine and have been at this for 3 years. Does anyone else get this? What to do? God bless you and thank you ..

Perhaps the drug that you not working for you. I would go see your doctor and tell him what happens. He or she may need your dosage form or to change your medication. It happens all time, but I do not take anything for it.
