Anyone having difficulty in curing mental illness?

At the age of 10 (now I'm 38) I suffered anxiety, panic disorder, depression and severe headaches. I was in counseling, hospitalization, took all the drugs on the market, and nothing seems to work. I'm currenty trying hypnosis, but seems to bring relief to the very short term. This is only a Band-Aid approach … the root of the problem is still very much alive. Anyone else have this problem?
