You suffer from panic disorder / agoraphobia?

Hi, I am now part of a theater group to create a room dealing with problems of panic disorder and agoraphobia. What we really want an objective and honest and realistic with these conditions – all those willing to share their experiences? More specifically: How does it affect your daily life? What are the things you struggle with most? There triggers panic attacks? Is it difficult for others to understand? And everything you want to add. :) In fact, nothing personal – the thoughts and feelings, stories everyday lives – is the best. In a minute, we have many lists of doctors, but nothing about how it feels to really live with agoraphobia! Thank you for your Help!

I was involved in a fatal car accident with a drunk driver around and I was diagnosed with PTSD, it was accompanied acute panic disorder. I have panic attacks almost daily, and can last from one hour to 24 hours. I also had a bit of agoraphobia for about 3 months after my accident. Agoraphobia is terrible. Because I was in a car accident the idea of being in another car would send me reeling into a panic attack. I was terrified of anything outside my door and in fact there was a part of my bed, I had to sit. If I'm sitting immediately otherwise it would have a panic attack. Through therapy and the love of my family and my friends who have conquered the point of agoraphobia, but I'm sure you still have panic attacks. Absolutely my panic attacks on my life. I a panic attack in my sleep and wake up with you. I like I'm driving to work, grocery shopping, I even had one at a job interview. The things we struggle with most is definitely the driving and trying to hide the fact that I am a panic attack. People do not know me and especially those who have never had a panic attack does not understand. They have no idea of the nightmare of having an attack panic. Those most common tell me is "Stop going crazy." This is the worst thing to say because I like to stop going crazy, but my mind / body literally does not let me. Literally, anything can trigger a panic attack. For example: I recently saw the engine Control in my car Let and immediately had a panic attack. My thought was: "OK, your car will fall, probably in the highway and receiving no assistance from road side for what it will cost a fortune to tow your vehicle, let alone the cost to repair what's wrong with the car. Then you'll be able to pay their accounts and being buried under a mountain of debts and you lose your apartment, which means you'll be on the street and become homeless and die. "Although I can see the thought process is irrational and ridiculous, and there is no question that my family or my friends have left me homeless, no way to think rationally when you're having a panic attack. I feel like my whole world collapsing around me and I'll die. There is also a physical part of my panic attacks. When I am with a grand mal attacks are extremely painful and frightening. Of course theres the feeling that an elephant sitting on my chest and I can not breathe. There is also a pain in the cheekbones and nose. My knees are closed and if I move they feel they will explode in my skin. Also, loss of sensation or Full on my feet and hands are tingling permanently or I want something that vibrates. Hope this helps!
