Can someone help me please?. Whenever I need a shot I have a panic attack. How do I stop it.?

We really need serious answers. He has struggled with this fear and anxiety during years. I was hysterical, and an attack full blown panic when faced with a needle. How can I overcome this?. I know it an irrational fear / phobia. I am in desperate need of help. Relaxation techniques? and ways to cope with some needles.
