Increased anxiety and panic attacks since smoking cessation (NRT)?
I had to go to hospital Sunday by a severe panic attack or severe chest, difficulty breathing and was prescribed a small dose of diazepam. I take these for the last 4 days, but last night had a panic attack in a rather embarrassing. This is my 15th day without cigarettes, smoking been since 13 now 24, had a small relapse on Friday night, but not since then. Is increased anxiety associated with quitting smoking? Why diazepam help with my panic last night? Sorry, I'm just really worried and scared. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
