Has anyone ever used any Herbs or over-the-counter drugs for panic attacks? If so, did they work?

hey. if you have problems with panic attacks medicine wont fully eliminate the possibility of having another one. when a person has gone through a traumatic event, or constant perpetual stress, the stressor becomes lodged deep inside the memory bank, even if it feels like you’ve forgotten about the event, or events, subconciously it is very much alive. the stressor will reside in your memory bank, and it will begin to grow. like an imaginary tumor. the stressor will become a dictator to how you percieve and react to certain events, and people. when you start to feel nervous, or begin to panic, the current stress is only a small part of it. the best medicine for your situation is talk therapy. talking one on one honestly about your concerns and problems deletes stress from the brain like a computer. if you’ve been through a serious traumatic event, such as a phsycial assualt, incarceration, or near death experience. there is treatment for that as well. its called cognitive behaviorial therapy, which trains you to alter your thinking, which ultimately alters your perception and attitude towards what has scared you in the past. emdr is also a good treatment for severe trauma. its kind of like hypnotising, but more sophisticated and effective. medicine, especially over the counter drugs, wont do anything for a panic attack. good luck.
