Help with panic and anxiety?
Does anyone out there have tips on easing panic attacks and anxiety? I'm looking for a kind of relaxation techniques such as life is very stressful at the moment. Alcohol is not an acceptable answer, because I am on medication and does not help. Any advice would be very useful.
Hey Big Man! Sad to hear about your anxiety. Breathing properly control the panic. As soon as you notice signs of anxiety, check your breathing: inhale slowly through your nose pushing your tummy (As of 5 or less). Exhale slowly and a bit longer (to the count of 7 or less) by mouth. No rapid or shallow breathing (Chest). This will soon restore the balance of oxygen and you will feel much better. Once you start to practice, will second nature. I really recommend a course of cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT was more effective for panic attacks. It takes a little work, but if you put the effort, which is very effective.
