Why me nightmares xanax?

My doctor put me on xanax for panic attacks, but when I sleep at night after taking xanax morbid nightmares that day. Is there a way to prevent this side effect?

I do not think anyone has the right to decide that someone must prescribed or not to take drugs. It's a personal choice. I had terrible nightmares too. I something happened. It is as if something bad.
